Astrological Origins

Fagan was recognized as the modern father of Sidereal Astrology, 1896-1971. The last book Cyril Fagan wrote just before his death was ‘Astrological Origins’. A careful study of this one book led me to the conclusion the ancient Egyptians were the true originators of astrology. As Fagan states about the ancient Egyptians: “But a people who discovered that Mercury, the smallest of the planets and rarely visible because of its proximity to the Sun, was the significator of intellect and speech; that Venus was the significator of love and Mars of war, and so forth, must have been a marvelously intelligent people.” Fagan’s historical research and brilliant techniques of astrology was inspired by his study and work pertaining to the ancient Egyptian culture. “Dissatisfied with all available material on the subject of astrology, Cyril decided to set out and find the answers for himself. He combed the libraries of many of the capitals of Europe and soon concluded that a working knowledge of astronomy and Egyptology was essential if the embryo of the original teachings of astrology was to be unearthed.
